Exhaling

The sky is the only omnipresence we all accept. So look up!

Well (it’s the deepest thing I know)

CO has suggested I write these Stations into a new book of poetry, echoing the very thought that I had quietly tucked away in that dark corner of my mind where I fear to look…

And Ann is precariously quiet, though I sense she is reading these meditations. So I will patiently await her honest and clear insights and feedback…

And where is Gabrielle? I know forget me not is busy with the best things.

I’m working on the children’s book for a while, so these meditations can settle, then I’ll go back over them and make revisions and refinements. So, please, if you have suggestions for improvement, by all means make them. I’d like to know what works and what misses the mark.

Only a truly humble soul who is this talented could ask “what works and what misses the mark.”

There isn’t anything here that doesn’t work or that misses the mark. It’s stunning, and I’d say, stunning as is. I cannot imagine where you’d revise.

If I found these in book/let form at the front or back of the Church, I’m certain I would pick one up and go pray the Stations with great gratitude. (And/or, as has been known to happen with other reflections, I might borrow one from there to post — in part.. in great part.. — on some *private* spot on the ‘net as an aid to others’ prayers, so here is a cue to copyright, perhaps.)

Lovely, lovely.

I agree with C.O. There is nothing I feel should be changed or deleted. The meditations all read well and would be an excellent aid to the Stations of The Cross. Personally I would have difficulty finding words apart from the familiar Good Friday’s ‘ We adore Thee O Christ and we praise Thee, because by Thy most Holy Cross Thou hast redeemed the world.’ In fact I have on occasion watched people doing The Stations and wondered what prayers they were saying. The idea of poetry based on The Stations is also a great one, but whether this would be done as a separate book altogether or incorporated into the meditations one is obviously a decision for yourself and the publisher. I think I’d be inclined to go for two separate books, but sold as companions, each supporting the other!

I have been busy with good things lately (like a daily afternoon nap, getting up later in the morning, going to the beach, etc). But I will catch up with you all, I promise!

Well, I hope so, Pia!! Meanwhile, enjoy your magnificent anniversary celebrations! :-) But I have to tell you, your dwindlings are like when a flower garden has gone all winter-prep on us. We miss you!

Ann, that side-by-side book thing sounds an excellent idea! I hope KT will consider it. I’ll bet she’s working on poetry even as we speak..

KT, Gabrielle has been busy and a half, and I’m sure she will return to the Cospirazione soon, but meanwhile, I wasn’t sure if you knew there was another Secular Carmelite mom/authoress who posts regularly. You’d like each other a lot.. or so I think. (Who knew Daisy Duck was a meddler?)

Oooh, goodness, I was here before, but I think I erased it myself accidently (about par for the course for me, lately). Anyway, I was going to say, I have missed all the Stations and probably lots more, but my plan is to print them out, put them in a nice little folder, and read them to and from work during the week on the bus. I know I’m in for a treat.
